1929: Midwest Equitable Meter Company Warehouse

1929 | 3200 Charles Page Blvd., Tulsa, Oklahoma | Derelict in 1997, this building is a rectangular one-story brick-faced masonry building with an angled parapet above the entrance. The original steel sash windows, front windows and glass entry doors have been removed. The original entry doors had an angled frame, which repeated the angled geometry of the parapet. The bottom portion of the cast stone signage panel has been removed. Midwest Equitable Meter Company is a division of Pittsburgh Equitable Meter Co. De Long and the Bruce Goff Archives list this building as the Pittsburgh Equitable Meter Company, though the incised stone sign indicates the name as Midwest Equitable Meter Company. The zigzag art deco design draws architectural visitors from across the United States as industrial buildings done in art deco are not commonly found.
